DRIPDAQ Daily, 9 May: Kobe 11 hits the ceiling, Wemby walks straight into SURGING

# DRIPDAQ Daily, Saturday 9 May 2026

The board has run out of headroom at the very top. Nike Kobe 11 Elite Protro pushed a fifth straight session of momentum and clamped at 100 (ON_FIRE), the first product to hit the ceiling since the rebase three weeks ago. Pharrell's Vario Flat Earther held the second slot at 96.2, and the Caitlin Clark Kobe 5 ROTY climbed back into the top three at 94.4. Twelve products are ON_FIRE, 48 SURGING, 132 RISING.

## Top 5 today 1. Nike Kobe 11 Elite Protro, 100, ON_FIRE (+3.0) 2. Pharrell x Adidas Vario Flat Earther, 96.2, ON_FIRE (+2.3) 3. Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro ROTY, 94.4, ON_FIRE (+2.9) 4. Moncler x Adidas Originals NMD, 94.3, ON_FIRE (+1.2) 5. adidas x Arsenal x Places+Faces Capsule, 94.3, ON_FIRE (+0.2)

The Wales Bonner pair keep occupying the next two slots (Stripe Knit Cardigan 93.1, Track Pants 92.9), even with both giving back small ground today. SS26 editorial coverage is doing the lifting and the data is genuinely tracking it.

## What moved Risers worth reading. Borussia Dortmund 2025-26 Home Kit lifted +5.6 to 45.5 on the back of the Bundesliga title race and a fresh Footy Headlines deep-dive. Valentino Garavani Rockstud Open ticked +4.5 to 29.2 (still COOLING, still cooling for a reason). The North Face Base Camp Duffel pulled +4.3 as travel-season SEO finally kicks in. The Reebok Answer IV OG Allen Iverson colourway, which has been SLEPT_ON for months, added +4.1 to 10.9: a faint signal, but a signal.

Heaviest fallers, both at -7.9: New Balance x Aime Leon Dore Sweatpants slipped to 54.1 (Sportswear lead) and Prada Cloudbust Thunder Black gave back to 61.9 (the Prada America's Cup capsule pulling editorial heat away from older Cloudbusts). Travis Scott x Nike Phantom 6 dropped 7.8 to 74.5, with the Phantom 6 conversation increasingly absorbed by the upcoming May launch window. Adidas Gazelle OG Burgundy settled at 59.9 (-7.4) as the Samba/Spezial cycle reasserts itself. Corteiz RTW Cargo Pants cooled 6.8 to 71.7, still RISING but the spring drop tail is thinning.

## New entries Three new products landed today.

- **Victor Wembanyama x Nike GT Cut 4 Gold Panther**, direct entry at 84.4 (SURGING). Black base, metallic gold safari spots, deep red VW logo on the heel. May 20 release at $210, with Sole Retriever, SneakerNews and SneakerBarDetroit all covering it inside the same week. Heavy editorial heat is doing most of the lifting. - **Sacai x Carhartt WIP SS26 Capsule**, entry at 70.4 (RISING). Fourth chapter, nine pieces, the most disciplined of the run. Released 6 February but the SS26 lookbook coverage on Highsnobiety and Hypebeast keeps the score climbing. - **The North Face x Cecilie Bahnsen Vol 3**, entry at 67.8 (RISING). The pivot from heavy outerwear to modular performance is well covered, the floral-applique "shandal" hybrid is doing a lot of the social work, and the partnership's editorial run shows no sign of cooling.

## Status snapshot Across 536 active products: 12 ON_FIRE, 48 SURGING, 132 RISING, 254 STEADY, 79 COOLING, 11 SLEPT_ON. Category averages still favour COLLAB_DROPS at 61.4, KIT_CULTURE at 59.0, then SNEAKERS at 55.3. Accessories sits at 46.4, the lowest cohort, but with the Williams cap, CasiOak and Ferrari x Ray-Ban all carrying steady reads, the segment is more coherent than the average suggests.

## Watchlist The Wembanyama Gold Panther moves to launch on the 20th: expect the score to step up if the playoffs run-of-form aligns. Arsenal x Places+Faces is a hair away from breaking 95 if the Champions League final exposure delivers. And the Wales Bonner pair are testing whether two products can hold ON_FIRE for a third consecutive week without a fresh drop catalyst. So far, they are.
