World Cup Fever Pushes the Board to Boiling Point

## The Daily Drip, 22 June 2026

The World Cup is doing exactly what we expected to the DRIPDAQ board: dragging the entire top tier into the red-hot zone. Eleven products are now pinned at a perfect 100, and the overwhelming majority are tournament kits. Brazil's home shirt holds the number one spot, flanked by England's away, the USA home, and Argentina, Spain and Morocco all maxed out. If you want a single read on the summer, it is this: national pride is the strongest signal in culture right now.

The day's real story is in the movers. Away kits are the smart money. Canada's away shirt was the single biggest riser, up 12.4 points to 85, with Nigeria (+10.8) and Sweden (+10.6) close behind as both push into the ON_FIRE bracket. The pattern is unmistakable: collectors have worked out that the bolder, more experimental away designs are where the resale and the clout live. Adidas also got a lift from the Trionda Pro match ball (+9.8), proof that demand is spilling beyond shirts into the wider tournament range.

Luxury is not being left out. The Labubu x FIFA World Cup series jumped 8.8 points to 88.4, the clearest sign yet that Pop Mart's blind-box machine has fully latched onto the football moment. When the toy of the year meets the tournament of the year, the only direction is up.

Not everyone is riding the wave. Several hyped collabs cooled as attention drained towards the football. The Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe led the fallers, down 8.5, with the Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop (-7.6) and a Virgil Abloh archive Nike (-7.6) also giving back ground. Even Palace x Adidas Superstar slipped 7.5, a reminder that nothing stays at the top without fresh fuel.

Two new names joined the board today, both from the F1 paddock. The Puma x Ferrari Lewis Hamilton No.44 cap enters at 73.5 on the back of Hamilton's climb to second in the championship, and Red Bull's Beyond the Grid capsule with New Era arrives at 63. The grid is becoming a genuine style category, and we will be watching both closely.
