The Daily Drip: World Cup Kits Storm the Board
# The Daily Drip, 18 July 2026
The World Cup is doing to the leaderboard exactly what you would expect. With the tournament at its peak, national kits are the story of the day, and they are climbing hard.
## Today's movers
The biggest legitimate gains all came from international shirts. France's home kit surged nearly 15 points to 81, its away shirt matched the move to 82, and both England kits pushed into ON_FIRE territory (home 94, away 93). Adidas has already confirmed Mexico, Argentina and Germany as its three best selling shirts of the tournament, each past three million units, and the resale scarcity is real now that supply has run dry. Argentina and Spain sit locked at the top of the board on 97.
At the summit it is a genuine cross category fight. Bad Bunny x adidas F50 "Spiderweb", the LABUBU x FIFA World Cup Series and the Nike Kobe Dunk Low "WNBA All-Star" all share the 97 ceiling with the Argentina and Spain kits. Sneakers, collabs, kit culture and accessories are all represented in the top ten, which is exactly the balance we want to see.
## New entries
Three fresh names joined the index today. Palace x Evisu's SS26 Daicock denim capsule enters at 68 on the back of real archive credibility and fast climbing resale interest. Awake NY x Omi x The North Face lands at 60, riding the art collab buzz ahead of the label's Air Jordan 6. The Whitaker Group x adidas EVO SL "Neon Lights" opens at 58, accessible heat rather than grail territory.
## Cooling off
Not everything is hot, and it should not be. The Nike KD 19 "Bubble Gum Bounce" gave back 10 points, and a run of tired accessories and deep cuts (Salehe Bembury's 1906R, the Sacai Cortez 4.0, an Air Pippen retro) slid deeper into SLEPT_ON. When nothing is happening, the score should say so.
## The shape of the board
Today's spread: 17 ON_FIRE, 73 SURGING, 149 RISING, 233 STEADY, 152 COOLING and 65 SLEPT_ON across 689 tracked products. A healthier, more honest curve than last week, with real momentum rewarded and dead stock left where it belongs.
